Academy Antiques specialises in buying and selling antiques, fine china and estate items.
Owned by Rob Woolley, we endeavour to pay fair prices for quality items from Royal Albert tea sets and trios to Royal Doulton plates, vases and figurines, Beswick animals, Fun Ho toys, New Zealand art from the likes of W F Moore, Aston Greathead and co., to quirky collectables and Kiwiana and Australiana. We buy anything we think we can sell and we know the market inside out.
If we feel you are better off going somewhere else, we will tell you whether that be a specialist dealer, auction house or collector. We treat you like we would like to be treated ourselves. We want you to be glad you called Academy.

The earthquakes were a devastating event. While the Student Volunteer Army shovelled silt, I travelled far and wide valuing shards of china, destroyed furniture and shattered crystal. It was a privilege helping people with their claims and meeting the who’s who of Canterbury.
